How to use the Day Counter
The day counter shows days, weeks, weekdays and weekend days between two dates.
What you need to enter
- Start date
- End date
- Include end date
The formula
Days = end date − start date (+ 1 if you include the end date). Weekdays count Monday to Friday.
Worked example
Using the default values in the calculator:
- Start date: 2026-10-13
- End date: 2026-11-12
- Include end date: No
| Total days | 30 |
| Weeks | 4.29 |
| Weekdays (Mon–Fri) | 22 |
| Weekend days | 8 |
| Approx. months | 0.99 |
Tips for better results
- Choose whether to include the end date.
- Public holidays are not removed.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Off-by-one errors.
- Forgetting that holidays are excluded only if you subtract them.
