The electricity calculator estimates what an appliance costs to run.
Open the Electricity Calculator →
What you need to enter
- Power (watts)
- Hours per day
- Price per kWh ($)
The formula
Energy (kWh) = watts × hours ÷ 1000. Cost = kWh × price per kWh.
Worked example
Using the default values in the calculator:
- Power (watts): 1500
- Hours per day: 3
- Price per kWh ($): 0.16
| Cost per month (30 days) | $21.60 |
| Cost per day | $0.72 |
| Cost per year | $262.80 |
| Energy per month | 135 kWh |
